The MateBook Fold Ultimate Design features an 18-inch flexible OLED screen. It folds in half, shrinking to 13 inches for easier portability. The screen supports a 3.3K resolution with a 2480×1860 pixel count and a 90 Hz refresh rate. It delivers 600 nits of peak brightness and a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio. The device uses a water-drop hinge design that can hold the screen at any angle between 0° and 180°, allowing it to function like a laptop, tablet, or a tent. The total weight without the keyboard is 1.16 kilograms.

Performance and Software
Huawei powers the MateBook Fold with its own Kirin chipset, optimized for HarmonyOS 5. The device includes 32 GB LPDDR5 RAM and offers storage options of 1 TB or 2 TB SSD. The cooling system combines dual fans and a vapor chamber to keep temperatures low during heavy use. The HarmonyOS 5 software provides features optimized for foldable devices, including a split-screen mode and app continuity when folding and unfolding.

Input and Controls
The MateBook Fold includes a detachable physical keyboard with 1.5 mm key travel for typing comfort. It also supports a virtual keyboard when the keyboard is detached or folded away. Gesture controls include five-finger scrolling and an eight-finger keyboard mode that simulates a full keyboard on the screen. Additionally, it supports stylus input with low latency for note-taking or drawing.

Audio, Camera, and Connectivity
The device features six speakers and four microphones arranged to deliver balanced sound and clear voice capture. The front camera is 8 MP and supports facial recognition. A fingerprint sensor is integrated into the power button for device security. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and two USB-C ports with data transfer and charging support.
