Display and Design
Sony’s Xperia phone series can feel confusing with their naming (Xperia 1, 5, and 10). But if you weren’t familiar before, the Xperia 10 series is Sony’s midrange segment, just as Xperia 1 is their flagship one. And following this, Sony’s new phone keeps things mid-range but slightly refined. It has a 6.1-inch OLED display with Full HD+ resolution and now the refresh rate also finally jumps to 120Hz from 60Hz refresh rate. Similarly, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protects the screen. The body is slim at 8.3 mm and weighs 168 g, which makes it easy to hold. And in personal taste, the horizontal pill-shaped camera module adds a touch of sleekness that the previous vertical setup didn’t quite pull off.

Performance and Software
Inside, you’ve got the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC (an upgrade from last time’s SD 6 Gen 1) paired with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, expandable up to 2TB via microSD. Android 15 runs out of the box, with four years of OS updates and six years of security patches lined up. Sony also tacks on Circle to Search and Google Gemini, as it keeps things fresh on the software side.

Camera and Battery
The main rear camera is now a 50 MP Sony Exmor RS sensor, joined by a 13 MP ultrawide shooter. The front-facing camera sits at 8 MP. Compared to the Xperia 10 VI, which had a 48 MP main and 8 MP ultrawide. Battery life is the same as the predecessor with 5,000 mAh. And for anyone who still likes wired audio, the headphone jack is here, like it they also included it in last year’s flagship.
